Step down level / Tracheostomy

Our specially equipped and staffed step-down unit provides specialized care and assures a smooth transition when the client has been weaned from ventilator dependency. Clients requiring tracheostomy care, those who have been decanulated and those requiring an intensive level of services are accommodated on this unit. In addition to a high level nursing and ancillary staff, the unit is staffed by Respiratory Therapists at all times.

The Nursing, Rehabilitation, Respiratory and Social Services staff, with other disciplines as indicated, coordinate community follow-up care to assure that needs are properly addressed upon discharge.

Long Term Care

Regardless of level of care, the resident’s needs remain paramount and our goal is to provide all necessary services in accord with the Comprehensive Care Plan. All involved disciplines direct and coordinate their care to meet the resident’s holistic needs. The goal is to promote the resident’s health and function at the maximum attainable levels in an environment which emphasizes their individual dignity.
