Speech Therapy

Speech Therapy programs promote communication by enabling the client to overcome physical, emotional or language skill impediments. Therapy can establish and foster communications skills for our clients by restoring speech abilities and/or providing them with alternative methods of communication.

Speech therapy is also paramount in assessing and restoring the speaking and swallowing abilities of those with neurological deficits and/or those who are affected by respiratory impairment.

Respiratory Therapy

Respiratory therapy services are under the direction of a board certified MD-Pulmonologist. We are one of a very few area facilities with a full staff of certified respiratory therapists on-premises 24 hours a day, who treat patients in our specialized ventilator unit and our step-down tracheostomy care unit. On-site equipment is always available to monitor blood gases and to measure lung function and tolerance. We have an excellent record in weaning patients off ventilator and tracheostomy dependency.
